Title: Dental technician (Experienced Denture)  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day

Salary: To be negotiated

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Calgary South East, Alberta (1 vacancy) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Commercial dental laboratory


Area of Technical Expertise: Set-up, Waxing-up, Polishing


Area of Specialization: Full dentures, Partial dentures, Orthodontic appliances


Dental technologist and Technician Specific Skills: Shape impressions and reproduce dentures, Prepare and fabricate dentures, Fabricate dental devices, Repair dental devices


Laboratory Bench Worker Specific Skills: Mould wax over packed moulds, Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays, Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys, Polish and buff dentures


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Sitting


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing


Other Information:This is a non smoking laboratory.
