Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial licensing board


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Specific Skills: Fit clients with prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses, Assist clients in selecting eyeglasses, Adjust finished eyeglasses to fit client


Additional Skills: Supervise or manage activities of other opticians or student opticians


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail
