Title: Licensed practical nurse

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $21.00 to $27.02 Hourly for 15 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Calgary North West, Alberta (1 vacancy) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work, Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), Critical care registered nurse (CCRN), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: Geriatrics, Palliative care


Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients' dressings, Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, Bathe and dress patients, Assist registered nurses with various medical procedures


Additional Skills: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes


Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Enhanced reliability security clearance, Criminal record check
