Skill Requirements:


Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable


Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Commercial dental laboratory


Area of Technical Expertise: Waxing-up, Casting, Polishing


Area of Specialization: Crowns and bridges, Gold dies and goldwork


Dental technologist and Technician Specific Skills: Fabricate dental devices


Laboratory Bench Worker Specific Skills: Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Sitting


Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing


Other Information:Experience is definitely an asset. Understanding, reading and speaking English is necessary. Non smoking environment.
