Education: Completion of high school


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required


Experience: No experience


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Extended care centres, Prosthetics and orthotics laboratories


Area of Specialization: Orthotics, Prosthetics


Specific Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician Skills: Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear, Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others


Other Information:The duties are associated with the fabrication of custom prosthetic & orthotic appliances. Will be responsible for general lab housekeeping duties including maintenance, cleanliness, supply ordering.
