Skill Requirements:


Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Physical Therapist Assistant Diploma (PTA)


Experience: 1 to less than 7 months


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Office of health care professional, Rehabilitation centre


Orthopedic Technologist Specific Skills: Assist health care professionals


Therapy Assistant Specific Skills: Provide support services to health care professionals, Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies


Physiotherapy Assistant Specific Skills: Accompany patients to treatment rooms, Assist patients with maintenance programs as directed/supervised by physiotherapist, Lead group exercise or activity class, Assist patients in the use of therapeutic equipment as directed/supervised by physiotherapist, Clean physiotherapy equipment


Additional Skills: Maintain records and inventories of supplies, Clean and maintain equipment, Order supplies and equipment, Schedule appointments, Collect statistics, Maintain inventory of equipment, Perform general clerical duties


Security and Safety: Bondable, Enhanced reliability security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test, Eligible for professional liability insurance
