Title: Resident companion - medical (Companion-Long Term care)  

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time leading Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Salary: $11.50 Hourly for 1 hours per week, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits

Anticipated Start Date: 2009/05/18

Location: Calgary, Alberta (15 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home


Security and Safety: Basic security clearance


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking


Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making


Other Information:Newport Harbour is looking for Casual to Full time Companions. Companions visit and spend time with residents, accompany them to appointments and outings. Previous experience with seniors a must.
