Title: Sonographer - medical (Ultrasound )

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): CRGS - Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer, CRCS - Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer


Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Medical clinics


Area of Specialization: Abdominal sonography


Specific Skills: Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images, Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, Record and store suitable images by using camera unit connected to the ultrasound equipment, Observe and care for patients throughout examinations, Prepare examination reports for physicians, Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation
