Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work


Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Community health clinic or centre, Home care and visiting care agency, Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: General duty, Clinic, Community, Geriatrics, Home care


Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Provide health education, Provide nursing care


Additional Skills: General counselling, Infection control


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning


Other Information:Accredited foot care course preferred
