Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of university


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Nursing home


Area of Practice: Geriatrics


Specific Skills: Assess patients' physical abilities, Administer evaluative tests and procedures, Plan physiotherapy programs, Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations, Maintain clinical and progress reports, Confer with other health professionals, Conduct research in physiotherapy


Additional Skills: Supervise technical and support staff, Order and purchase equipment


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
